Our Sebastian Blue Swimming Crab Meat (Portunus pelagic) is produced in Southeast Asia. It can be found in numerous countries, although we focus on some of the largest regions such as Indonesia.
It has a sweet, ocean fresh like flavor with a milky, cream color. The product is shell-free with a little cartilage present.
RED SWIMMING CRAB MEAT
Our Sebastian Red Swimming Crab Meat comes from the peaches Portunus haanii, which is slightly smaller than the blue swimming produced in Southeast Asia. The red swimmer is found primarily in China and Vietnam, and the meat has a whiter appearance.
The texture is a bit more coarse, making it more economical choice of the options. The product is shell-life with a little cartilage present.
